A user is attempting to use the catalog center to install or update catalogs and is prompted to enter admin credentials. Upon entering admin credentials, the following error message appears.
Access to this feature is currently unavailable due to insufficient permissions.
This article is valid only if the following 3 conditions are true.
- Software version is 2026.0
- User does not have local admin rights to the computer.
- Catalogs are installed currently to the default location of C:\ProgramData\Cap\Content
To solve this issue, the catalogs will need to be installed to a customized folder on the PC that the user has full control over. Follow the remove and reinstall approach if setting up a new PC or if the user has only a few catalogs installed. Follow the move approach if the user has a large number of catalogs already established and a reinstall would be too disruptive.

- Perform this step only if Giza is used on the computer. Open Giza and go to the Tools menu and select Options. Select the File tab, and then click Advanced. You will need to change the common library path to the new location the Giza catalogs were moved to. Click browse and select the new catalog location folder, making sure to select the Giza subfolder that will be there. For example, of catalogs were moved to C:\OnDemand, you would select the C:\OnDemand\Giza folder. Then click Apply and ok. Then close and reopen Giza.
