If you are needing to export a project from CET into Worksheet we recommend you use the OFDA XML 4 file format instead of SIF. The latest versions of Worksheet and CET have updated versions of the OFDA XML format that allow accurate data import from CET into Worksheet.
CET tags from TAG1, TAG2, and TAG3 columns will appear in the Worksheet Alias 1, 2, and 3 columns.
CET Installation (IND) tag, will appear in the Worksheet Tag column.
CET comments will appear in the new comments column introduced with Worksheet version 2025.2
Requires:
Please ensure you are using the most updated versions of both CET and Worksheet.
Steps:
- From CET's Order export dialog choose OFDA XML Purchase Order 4 to create a Worksheet compatible XML file. Save the XML file to a location you can find later. Do not open the XML file from CET after it is created, choose no, or just open the file location.
- Once you have the XML file created from CET, Open Worksheet to a new blank document.
- From the File tab, choose Import Center.
- Select OFDA XML 4.0 and click Import.
- Select and open the XML file you created from CET. The specification will then be opened in Worksheet. You may then save it as a Worksheet SP4 file.
Notes:
- For the Tags to transfer correctly from CET to Worksheet, do not rename your Tag columns in CET. They need to be specifically named TAG1, TAG2, and TAG3. If you rename the TAG1 column to be something else, that will prevent it from importing into Worksheet.
- A reminder that you must import the XML file into Worksheet using the Import Center. You will not be able to open the XML file directly by clicking on the file or saying YES in CET to automatically open the file. If you do that, the data of the XML file will just open up in usually your web browser.
- While you need a minimum of Worksheet version 2023.2, it is recommended to be using the latest version of Worksheet. Please refer to the following article How to check your office software version.
