You attempt to open an Office application and receive the error message Unable to connect to CCAPsecurity Invalid Pointer or CAPSecurity.dll does not appear to be installed properly.
To resolve this:
- Click OK in the error message and exit the application.
- Open the 2020 Diagnostics program = From your computer's Start Menu, under All Apps, 2020 Technologies, open Diagnostics. You may also search for Diagnostics in your Windows application search. The program will have a yellow gear icon.
3. When the 2020 Diagnostics window appears, click Advanced Maintenance... in the lower right corner.
4. Click the button Register COM InProc Servers.
5. Click the Close button.
6. Click the Close button again to exit 2020 Diagnostics.
7. Open your application and verify if the issue is resolved.
