When trying to open a Worksheet file you receive a message that the file was created by a newer version of Worksheet and the file does not open.
Cause
The last user to save or create the file was likely using a newer version of Worksheet. Sometimes a file format change is necessary to support new software features and improvements. When this happens, files saved on the newer version of Worksheet cannot be directly opened on previous versions.
Solution
Upgrade your Worksheet software to the latest version if possible.
Workaround
If you cannot upgrade at the moment, the file can be opened into the older version of Worksheet by first exporting it out as a CAP Studio SIF file. Ask the person with the newer version of Worksheet to export the file to a CAP Studio SIF. File tab > Export Center> CAP Studio SIF. You should be able to import this SIF file into your older version of Worksheet and then save the file as a Worksheet SP4 document.
