Custom CAD Symbols that you create in Giza are stored in your User Symbols in a file named usersym.shl. To backup these symbols or to transfer them to a new computer you simply need to locate this file. Please note that this is different than the Giza User Library which are custom catalog specials. Locating The File
The default location of the usersym.shl should be in your Documents\Giza folder. If you have customized your Giza folder locations, then its possible your file may be in a unique location. To verify which folder contains the usersym.shl file you can do the following.
- Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
- Click the Files tab.
- Click the Advanced Button.
- Make note of the location specified for Folder for other files. This is the folder that will contain your usersym.shl file.
Once you have located the file you simply need to copy the file to your new computer and place it into the Folder for other files location on that machine.
