To find errors in a catalog, use the Validate command. Some examples of errors are:

section labels that do not have items assigned to them

items that are not assigned to any section labels

option groups that are not assigned to any items
-
items that do not have any graphics
-
graphics that are not linked to any items or labels
How to Validate a Catalog

From the Catalog menu, select Validate.

Click on each category and check elements that you want to validate, then click OK.

Select the conditions to validate in each section. If you want to check all the conditions under a section, simply check the section.

If you want to check all the conditions, click Select All.

Click OK.

The Validation Results window appears, showing any errors or any information corresponding to the conditions you checked. Click on an error message to display a dialog where the error is located. You can correct errors in this dialog or navigate in the catalog to find the error.
