Cap Complete can import the geometry, raster images, fills and TrueType text contained in a PDF file into your current drawing. You can specify the object types to import, insertion point, object layers, and set import options.
Important:
The accuracy of the resultant DWG file is largely dependent upon the quality of the original PDF, so results may vary.
Raster imagery will not be converted into editable geometry but will be added to the drawing as an external reference.
To import a PDF file into the drawing file
- Click Insert tab » Import panel » PDF Import.
- In the Select PDF File dialog box, select the PDF file you want to import and click Open.
- In the Import PDF dialog box, select the PDF page to import.
- (Optional) Select the data to import, set the layers of imported objects, and specify what method to use for importing data objects, as needed.
- (Optional) specify the scale factor and rotate angle for the imported objects.
- Click OK.
- At the Specify Insertion Point prompt, specify a point in the drawing area.
If the Specify on-screen box is not checked, the imported objects are inserted at the origin point (0,0) of the current UCS by default.
