Sort Settings can be applied in multiple ways:
-
from a toolbar drop-down list
-
from the right-click sort menu (Multiple sort dialog; when right-clicking on a column header)
-
from the menu pick at View > Columns > Sort.
Note: Applying a Sort Setting will remove all existing subtotals that are in the current worksheet.
-
Sort toolbar - Sort Settings drop-down list
Clicking on a Sort Setting listed in the drop-down list will sort the current worksheet. -
Right-click Sort menu
Right-clicking on a column header brings up the standard pop-up menu. Clicking on Sort will make the Sort Settings fly-out appear, where the standard Multiple Columns sort will be available, and a Sort Settings fly-out that will have a Manage Sort Settings choice, which opens the Manage Sort Settings dialog, and a list of saved Sort Settings (those saved to the default location only), able to be selected and applied to the current worksheet. Selecting any of these Sort Settings will sort the worksheet according to that Setting's order, as defined within the Setting itself. Single-column sort choices appear below the Sort Settings menu pick. -
View > Columns > Sort menu
Accessing the Sort menu through Worksheet's View menu will have the same look, feel, and function as in the right-click Sort menu. Clicking on Sort makes the Sort fly-out appear, where the standard Multiple Columns sort is available, and a Sort Settings fly-out that lists all saved Sort Settings, saved to the default directory, available to select. Selecting any of the Sort Settings will sort the worksheet according to that Setting's order, as defined within the Setting itself. Single-column sort choices will appear as normal below the Sort Settings menu pick.
