The Smart Voice tool is an interactive way to add audio annotations to your Cap Complete Drawing. You can record and play back voice clips up to 30 seconds in length.
The Smart Voice commands can be found under the Tools ribbon tab.
Inserting a Recording
Click the Smart Voice icon in the ribbon.
Then click a point in your drawing.
This will insert a microphone at the position you click. The default placement of a smart voice recording is a point object. You also have the option of region or object by accessing the settings in the Voice Manager.
Left click on the microphone and hold the mouse button down to begin recording. Release your mouse button to end recording.
Afterwards, the symbol will change to a speaker and indicate the length of the recording in seconds.
You can left click on the speaker symbol to play back your recording.
Managing Your Recordings
Click the Voice Manager Icon in the ribbon.
The Voice Manager tool will open a dialog to let you easily find, play, and manage your recordings.
You can select a smart voice recording in the list.
- Click Play to play the recording.
- Click Find to locate the recording in your drawing. It will zoom to and highlight that particular recording making it easy to locate it.
- Click Delete to remove the recording from the drawing.
Hide the Recording Icons
Click the Show or Hide icon in the ribbon.
This will hide the recording icons in the drawing to retain a clean drawing appearance.
Simply click the icon again to make them visible again.
