Select objects by clicking them or by using a window or crossing method described below.
Window Selection
To specify a rectangular window selection area, click and release the mouse button, move the cursor from left to right, and click again. A window selection will be displayed with a solid line and blue background. All objects that are entirely enclosed in the selection rectangle will become selected. In the example below, only the chair on the right will be selected because only that object is completely within the selection window.
Crossing Selection
To specify a rectangular crossing selection area, click and release the mouse button, move the cursor from right to left, and click again. A crossing selection will be displayed using a dashed line and green background. All objects that are crossed by selection rectangle and within the selection window will be selected. In the example below, both chairs will be selected since the chair on the left is crossed by the selection window and the chair on the right is within the selection window.
To Deselect Objects
Deselect objects by holding down the Shift key and then clicking individual objects, or use one of the above selection windows. Pressing the Esc key will deselect all objects.
