The Vignette Plot is a powerful tool that will allow you to show multiple views of your project as well as list the bill of materials. This document will guide you through the setup and initialization of your plot. Make sure that you set 2D plan and 3D view to your liking before starting the vignette plot.
To get started, select the Report menu in Giza and choose Vignette Plot.
The View Tab
- A company logo may be included on the printout by checking the box labeled Bitmap. Click the browse button to select the .bmp or .jpg file you wish to include.
- A title may be added to the print by placing a check mark next to Title and typing in the text field above.
- To add a border check the Print Borders check box.
- By checking the Hidden Line Drawing checkbox, a hidden line rendering will be included in the print of the current 3D view.
- To print the Vignette Plot in black and white, place a check next to the All in Black check box. You may choose to have a color preview by checking the Color Preview check box.
- You may change the font for the Vignette Plot by clicking the Font
button. This will change the font for the title and the bill of materials report.
The Layout Tab
- Click the Layout Tab to setup the layout of the printed page or pages.
- You may change the page margins of the Vignette Plot at any time within the Page Margins area of the Layout tab. If no changes are made, the Vignette Plot will use the default margin settings of the default printer.
- Entering a numeric value in the Title box can change the height of the title for the Vignette Plot.
- If you wish to change the height of the Views (2D and Hidden Line views) and the Report, enter a numeric value in the corresponding boxes or use the slider to change the values. If it is preferable to have the Report BOM print on a separate sheet of paper, set the report height to "0”.
- You may also change the width of the Plan View or the Hidden Line rendering by adjusting the slider bar to the preferred size or by entering a numeric value in the corresponding boxes within the Widths section of the Layout tab.
The Plot Setup Tab
- You are provided the same printing options for the Vignette Plot as you are with any drawing created in Giza. Click the Plot Setup tab to view the printing options.
- You may print the Vignette Plot using one of three options. Click the radio button next to Fill Frame With Entire Drawing to have the entire drawing shown in the report. If you have a custom view you would like to use, click the radio button next to Match View in Current Window. If you would like to print the Vignette Plot to scale, click the radio button next to Plot to Scale.
- Choose Center drawing in frame or Specify DB Point by clicking the appropriate radio button in the Plot Origin and Scaling section of the Plot Setup tab. If you choose to specify your own point, click the Enter Point button and choose the point in your drawing you wish to use as the center point.
- Enter a custom scale or standard scale if you have checked the Plot to Scale radio button.
- Select Printer Setup to choose the desired printer for your output. You can also select Portrait or Landscape and the paper size.
- You are now ready to create your Vignette Plot. You can click Preview to review how it will look and then Print when your ready to create the final output.
