Add an Image to a Drawing
In this tutorial we will show how to add an image, such as a company logo, to a drawing. To get started, go to the Draw menu and select Image…
The Add Image Dialog will now appear. Click the Choose Image button to select an appropriate image for your drawing. The image you select will need to be either a .JPG or .BMP file.
Choose one of the 3 size options:
-
Size With Mouse - This will allow you to define the size of the image in the drawing by using your mouse.
-
Screen Size - This will use the image's actual pixel size in the current window.
- Set Size - This allows you to scale the size of the image before placing it in the drawing.
It is recommended to check the box next to Maintain Proportions. This will prevent the image from becoming distorted as this maintains the height to width ratio of the original image file.
Click Place to place the image into the drawing.
If you are using the Size with Mouse option, after you click Place, move your cursor into the drawing and left click to begin drawing a rectangle to define the size of the image. If you are using the Screen Size or Set Size option, an outline of the image will be attached to your cursor for placement.
In the example below, the 2020 Logo was added to a drawing.
