Run in 2D drafting & annotation basic mode

Drafting & Annotation Basic workspace

When you select the 2D Drafting & Annotation Basic option, you simplify the Home and Office ribbons.

To set your workspace in 2D Drafting & Annotation Basic, exit the Classic mode, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Click the Set Workspace icon  located at the bottom of the Cap Complete application.

  2. Click the 2D Drafting & Annotation Basic option to add a checkmark next to the name (see illustration below).



    You may also select this option from the 2D Drafting Annotation drop-down list that is located at the top of the Cap Complete application (see below).





  3. This initiates a simpler view.

Simplified Home ribbon

This Simplified Home ribbon is designed to help you quickly find the most common CAD commands that you need to complete tasks such as creating and editing architectural spaces.

 

Simplified Office ribbon

The Simplified 2020 Office ribbon contains the most common commands used in space planning and specifying office furniture.

 

Switch back to the standard view

More advanced commands such as 2D Drafting Annotation, manufacturer-specific commands and associated worksheet commands can always be accessed by changing the workspace.

 

NOTE:  The 2D Drafting and Annotation Basic workplace contains only ribbons (no toolbars or drop-down menus are included).

 

You can display more advanced commands by changing the workspace to 2D Drafting & Annotation:

  1. Click the drop-down arrow next to 2D Drafting Annotation to open the list of options.



  2. Click on the 2D Drafting & Annotation option as shown in the picture below.


    You may also use  the Set Workspace icon  to switch between the basic and the standard mode.
