Another method for creating a custom item is to add a blank line to the worksheet and type in the information you need:

Click
on the Item toolbar then select Product.

Type the information about the special in the blank line.

Once all changes are made, it is a good idea to lock the line item to protect it from any mistaken changes.
Note: The icon in the line item's Complete column will indicate that it needs to be updated against the catalog. You will not want to do this because Worksheet will flag this item as unknown and you may no longer be able to find the item in the worksheet.
