The default setting to load Cap is to type "CAP" on the command line of AutoCAD and press enter. If you would prefer Cap to load automatically when you open AutoCAD, you can make a setting change. This requires running AutoCAD once as an administrator to implement the change.
1. Fully Exit AutoCAD.
2. Right-click on your AutoCAD desktop shortcut and choose Run as Administrator.
3. When AutoCAD reopens, type CAP on the command line to load Cap as you normally would.
4. Once Cap is loaded, type CAPXPREFERENCES on the command line and press enter.
5. In the Cap Preferences dialog, change the setting to on AutoCAD start-up and then click Apply and then Close the preferences window.
6. Exit AutoCAD.
You may now open AutoCAD as you normally would, and Cap will load at the same time AutoCAD starts.
