- From the File menu, choose Export Center...
- Select Excel and then click Export.
- Choose a save location, type a file name, and then click Save.
- The file will then be created.

Question: When I open the Excel file I am unable to edit the document. Microsoft Excel indicates Protected View and that editing this file type is not allowed.
Answer: The more recent versions of Excel have a security feature called protected view. Protected View is a read-only mode where most editing functions are disabled. By Default older Excel formats open in Protected View. The Excel format that Worksheet creates is an older Excel 2 Worksheet file. The below steps can be performed to disable protected view for this type of document.

Click the yellow bar where it indicates Click for more details.
- You will then see the Protected View settings. Click the link File Block Settings
- This will take you to the Excel Trust Center as seen in the image below.
- Click File Block Settings along the left menu.

Clear the check mark next to Excel 2 Worksheets and then click OK.
- Reopen your Excel file and it should now be fully editable.
